Job Title: Human Resources (HR) Manager
Location: Reston, VA
Job Type: Full time, contract
About the Role
LHH is looking for a strategic and people-focused HR Manager to lead and support a growing team at our client, a prestigious financial services firm. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about building a positive workplace culture. As HR Manager, you will oversee core HR functions including employee relations, performance management, compliance, and talent development.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day HR operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance with employment laws.
Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.
Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
Support training and development initiatives to foster employee growth.
Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to improve organizational effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or HR certification preferred).
5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
Experience with HRIS systems and data-driven decision-making.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
