Hi there!
We are actively searching to add a Property Accountant to the small but mighty team in our Roseville, CA office! We’re a well-established multi-location property management firm and are looking to add to our team due to one of our great team members moving on to greener pastures!
While we are certainly looking for a qualified candidate on paper, who you are as a person matters greatly to us as we have a very collaborative team with each member of our accounting department assisting where needed.
We are currently working an onsite schedule in our Roseville, CA office (four days in office and one remote, to start with potential more wfh days after training)
This is a contract to hire position but it would be our preference to convert someone to permanent as quickly as possible
The compensation for this role ranges from 30.00-39.00/hour DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Producing monthly financial statements for a large property portfolio
Reconciling and preparing the general ledger and providing full documented support for the reported balances
Prepares monthly journal entries and accruals
Income statement review
Communicating direct with RMs
Reconcile all bank accounts and general ledger accounts associated with the assigned portfolio
Reviewing accrued entries (95% cash)
Fund validations and release payments
Assist with the preparation of year-end audit work papers
Maintains spreadsheets and/or tracking logs as required by department operations
Performs all other duties as necessary to ensure sound accounting practices at the assigned properties.
REQUIREMENTS:
3 years of experience in property management accounting
Accounting classes and/or three years of accounting work experience
Experience with the Entrata platform extremely helpful
Experience with Yardi very nice to have
Experience in property management accounting is desired
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating, procedural manuals, and safety documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to interact/communicate effectively in a professional and pleasant manner with Vendors, Affiliates, Stakeholders, Corporate Shareholders and Company Employees
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and General Ledger activity
Ability to effectively reconcile account balances, calculate figures and amounts, and apply basic math concepts
Must be able to work at a fast pace (within reason of course), perform duties while under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner
