HR Payroll | Certified Payroll Specialist Location: Sacramento, CA (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $25–$28 per hour Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary
The HR Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring compliance with Certified Payroll requirements, and maintaining accurate records in LCP Tracker. Additionally, this role will assist with HR-related tasks, such as employee onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with wage laws.
Manage Certified Payroll reporting and maintain compliance with LCP Tracker.
Prepare and submit required payroll reports for public works projects.
Ensure proper tracking and reporting of prevailing wages.
Maintain employee records, timesheets, and payroll data with a high level of accuracy.
Assist with HR duties, including onboarding, benefits coordination, and compliance.
Handle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure adherence to state and federal labor laws.
Qualifications
2+ years of payroll experience, with knowledge of Certified Payroll and LCP Tracker.
Familiarity with prevailing wage laws and public works payroll compliance.
Experience with HR functions (onboarding, benefits, compliance) is a plus.
Strong proficiency in payroll software and Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
