Project Manager
Procurement & Supply Chain
LHH has partnered with a growing food manufacturing company that is looking for a Bilingual Project Coordinator to join their team and support the VP of Operations. This position will be focused on managing day-to-day logistics, vendor communications, and production schedules with checks and balances to prevent costly delays. This Contract-to-Hire position starts part-time with the strong potential to ramp to full-time hours as responsibilities expand.
Responsibilities:
- Drive day-to-day vendor follow ups; obtain and log written confirmations for all critical steps
- Confirm shipments and delivery dates; track exceptions and escalate risks proactively
- Create and manage detailed project timelines
- Open, manage, and track purchase orders
- Verify packaging, labeling, and shipping instructions; ensure compliance with customer specs
- Coordinate freight bookings and customs/commercial documentation
- Prepare daily/weekly status updates for the VP of Operations and cross functional teams
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Assist with light SAP transactions
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish required
- 2+ years experience as a Project Coordinator or similar operations role preferred
- Demonstrated initiative, assertiveness, and independent problem solving
- Exceptional attention to detail, follow through, and organization
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, operations driven environment
- Technical: Basic Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); SAP training provided if needed
Compensation:
- $25.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience
- Contract-to-Hire with the goal of long term employment
Schedule:
- Flexible part-time hours to start with strong potential to turn full time
- Hybrid schedule in San Diego, CA
