LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist for a Contract opportunity in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will provide essential service and expertise in a high-volume AP environment. Your duties will include matching and coding of invoices (3-way matching), vendor payments, and setting up new vendors within the client’s fulfillment system.


PLEASE NOTE: All duties for this role are performed at the client’s office in San Francisco, California.


KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and process invoices accurately and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures.


  • Vendor Management: Maintain vendor accounts, including reconciling statements, resolving discrepancies, and communicating effectively with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries.


  • Payment Processing: Prepare and process weekly/monthly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers in a timely manner.


  • Expense Reporting: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and timely reimbursement.


  • Month-End Closing: Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, accruals, and reporting as needed.


  • Audit Support: Provide support for internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries related to accounts payable processes.


  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounts payable workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.


DESIRED BACKGROUND & SKILLS



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.


  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or finance roles.


  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel. Experience with automated AP systems is a plus.


  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing.


  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.


  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage workload effectively in a dynamic environment.


  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies and identify process improvements.


  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
