Cash Applications Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions has a temp to hire role available in Schaumburg, IL. This role is onsite for training and then hybrid 3 days in office, 2 remote. Seeking a cash applications candidate ideally or someone with analytical skills and ideally an accounting degree. Looking for someone who understands debits and credits ideally and candidate who wants to make a long-term commitment.
Worksite Location: Schaumburg, IL - Onsite for training until candidate is comfortable with the role and responsibilities and then hybrid 3 days in office and 2 days remote
Type: Temp to Perm
Duration of temp side: 3-6 months
Pay Rate: $20-25/hour (DOE)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: M-F; 8am – 5pm
Systems they work on: ERP system and Basic Excel
Responsibilities:
In this position, you will oversee all aspects of cash application functions, including the accurate posting and classification of payments, reconciling payments, handling unapplied cash, and maintaining client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
Update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices and verifying account discrepancies.
Maintain records by microfilming invoices, debits, and credits.
Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts and coordinating monthly transfers to the accounts receivable account.
Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Participate in educational opportunities to update job knowledge.
Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.
