Job Title: Client Accounting Specialist
Location: North Scottsdale, AZ (Onsite)
Hourly Compensation: $31.25/hr - $38.46/hr depending on experience (seasonal overtime January–April)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (some flexibility available)

A well-established wealth investment firm in Scottsdale is seeking a Client Accounting Specialist to join their team. This full-time, onsite role supports a portfolio of multiple clients across various industries, delivering comprehensive accounting services and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, client-focused, and experienced in managing full-cycle accounting in a multi-client environment. This role requires flexibility and the ability to shift focus to tax-related support during peak season.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple client accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives for assigned clients
• Execute month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities
• Maintain flexibility during peak tax season, with the ability to prioritize tax deliverables and work additional hours as required
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Serve as a primary accounting contact for clients, delivering responsive and professional communication
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase operational efficiency
• Assist with audits and special financial projects as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a CPA firm or multi-client environment
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and competing deadlines
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with a professional, client-service mindset
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
