Accounts Receivable Specialist (Contract – 8 Months, Hybrid)

Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid Schedule)
Compensation: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour, depending on experience

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our client’s accounting team on an 8-month contract. This hybrid role is ideal for an AR professional who is experienced in full-cycle accounts receivable, enjoys working with customers, and ensures accurate and timely cash application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and post customer invoices accurately and timely

  • Apply payments to customer accounts, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers

  • Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledgers to the general ledger

  • Monitor and manage past-due accounts, sending reminders and following up professionally

  • Resolve customer billing discrepancies and inquiries in a timely manner

  • Assist with month-end close, including AR reconciliations and reporting

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support internal controls and audits

  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues

  • Support ad hoc reporting and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of accounts receivable experience in a high-volume environment

  • Strong understanding of AR processes and general accounting principles

  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems and cash application tools

  • Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large datasets

  • High attention to detail, organization, and time management skills

  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Work Schedule:

  • Hybrid schedule with a mix of remote and in-office work in Seattle
