Accounts Payable Specialist (Hybrid – Kent, WA)

Location: Kent (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
Pay Rate: $28–$34/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday


Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a collaborative team in Kent, WA. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate is organized, deadline-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process high-volume invoices, including coding, matching, and data entry

  • Perform three-way matching (invoice, purchase order, receiving documentation)

  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices via check, ACH, or wire

  • Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

  • Assist with month-end close by preparing AP accruals and reports

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls

  • Prepare and maintain documentation for audits

  • Support process improvements and system enhancements within AP


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience

  • Experience with high-volume invoice processing

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data entry, sorting/filtering)

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automated AP systems or OCR tools

  • Background in a multi-entity or fast-paced environment

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
