Accounts Receivable Specialist


Location: Tempe, AZ (Onsite)


Compensation: $25/hr - $26/hour


Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible between 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 8-hour shifts


Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable


About the Role:


As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of our client's well established company. This position requires a skilled professional with extensive experience in A/R processes, including invoicing, billing, and collections. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience, possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in using accounting software, particularly Great Plains. This role offers significant growth opportunities within the organization.


Responsibilities:



  • Manage the entire accounts receivable process efficiently and accurately.


  • Generate and send out invoices to clients in a timely manner.


  • Review and reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.


  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and outstanding payments with customers.


  • Process payments received and allocate them accordingly.


  • Prepare and maintain reports on accounts receivable status.


  • Collaborate with the collections team to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.


  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve billing issues promptly.


  • Assist in month-end closing procedures related to accounts receivable.


  • Provide support for audits and other accounting projects as needed.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.


  • Minimum 4 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial role.


  • Proficiency in using accounting software, particularly Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) is ideal


  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.


  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and achieving targets.
