Human Resources Manager Location: Hudson County, NJ


About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR professional to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping and supporting HR initiatives that drive business success. From compliance and benefits administration to talent acquisition and employee engagement, you will be a trusted resource for both leadership and employees.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Compliance



  • Assist in the development and execution of HR strategies aligned with company goals


  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local labor laws


  • Maintain and update HR policies and the employee handbook


  • Support workforce planning and organizational development efforts

Benefits & Payroll Support



  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks


  • Partner with finance to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure accurate, timely payroll processing


  • Conduct payroll audits to verify deductions and adjustments


  • Oversee open enrollment, communicate benefits options, and address employee inquiries


  • Administer and optimize the company’s HRIS (BambooHR)


  • Act as an advocate for employees by addressing benefit-related concerns and exploring potential enhancements

Learning & Development



  • Support the performance review process by providing training on goal setting and feedback


  • Assist in designing and implementing training programs that support employee growth


  • Work with leadership to identify skill development and career advancement opportunities

Talent Acquisition & Retention



  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define recruitment needs and hiring strategies


  • Develop job descriptions and manage job postings


  • Source candidates, screen applications, conduct interviews, and facilitate hiring decisions


  • Enhance the onboarding experience to ensure smooth transitions for new employees


  • Implement retention strategies to promote employee engagement and satisfaction

Employee Relations & Engagement



  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, fostering a positive work environment


  • Support conflict resolution and ensure fair application of company policies


  • Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, recognition, and workplace culture


  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on leadership best practices

HR Administration



  • Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with legal and company standards


  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies related to benefits and workplace regulations


  • Generate HR reports and analytics to provide insights into workforce trends

What We’re Looking For



  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (or 5+ years of relevant HR experience)


  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience across key HR functions


  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices


  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is a plus


  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus


  • Experience managing or working with HRIS platforms


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite


  • Excellent organizational and time management skills


  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels


  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
