This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting while also providing forward-looking insights to support decision-making across the business. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, commercially savvy, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This individual should be a self-starter who can think independently, take initiative, and adapt quickly as the business evolves. It is a terrific opportunity to get into a company on the verge of substantial growth.
This is a permanent position offering a salary of $150,000 to $170,000 plus bonus and an equity stake!
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Controllership
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
Oversee general ledger, account reconciliations, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
Manage audit process, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of supporting schedules
Enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures
Oversee AR, AP, and transactional accounting functions, including evaluation and implementation of automation tools
Ensure all balance sheet accounts are fully supported and reconciled on a timely basis
Support daily/weekly cash flow forecasting and liquidity management
Assist in managing borrowing base, lender reporting, and compliance requirements
FP&A & Business Analytics
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
Develop and maintain financial models, including cash flow forecasting and scenario analysis
Provide monthly variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) with clear, actionable insights
Partner with Sales and Operations to translate commercial activity into financial impact
Support pricing, margin analysis, and cost optimization initiatives \
Build and enhance reporting dashboards to improve visibility into key performance drivers
Drive process improvements across finance and accounting to increase efficiency and scalability
Lead evaluation and implementation of systems (e.g., ERP enhancements, AR/AP automation tools)
Build repeatable, scalable processes to support company growth
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in finance/accounting, preferably within CPG, manufacturing, or distribution
Blend of public accounting and industry experience preferred
Strong technical accounting foundation (GAAP) combined with FP&A expertise
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
Proven ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into business insights
