LHH is partnering with a growing organization to find an experienced and dedicated Network Administrator. This role is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and support of the organization’s IT networking infrastructure, ensuring security, stability, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will oversee the health of the network, including routers, firewalls, servers, storage, virtual technologies, and related systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, storage area networks, virtual environments, and backup systems.
Ensure network capacity, reliability, security, and availability through regular maintenance and system upgrades.
Troubleshoot and resolve network and telecommunications issues across wide area, local, virtual, and wireless networks.
Serve as the main point of contact for escalated IT issues and work with advanced network consultants to design and expand network platforms.
Oversee and maintain servers, applying security best practices and managing updates, patches, and certificate renewals.
Manage network communications for main and remote locations, including fiber, internal wiring, DNS, VLANs, routers, switches, and firewalls.
Coordinate with vendors for procurement of new technologies, including the preparation of technical specifications and review of RFP/RFI documents.
Monitor and maintain disaster recovery procedures and conduct server and security audits.
Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and other user information systems.
Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the IT infrastructure.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure analysis, design, and network administration.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Extensive knowledge of local and wide area networks, routers, firewalls, switches, storage area networks, and virtualization.
Familiarity with server technologies such as Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization tools like VMware.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with experience resolving complex network issues.
Experience with vendor management, including procurement, contract negotiations, and overseeing support services.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and shifting priorities.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
Knowledge of security best practices, including Intrusion Detection/Prevention, SIEM, Antivirus, and email/web filtering.
Preferred Skills:
Cisco network configuration experience (routers, switches, firewalls).
Experience in developing and maintaining security governance documents and disaster recovery strategies.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).
Experience in project management and developing technical specifications for RFI/RFP processes.
